Brazil 09 Youth Mission Trip - May 27th - June 5th
ARRIVAL
Pat, myself and our daughter, Johanna traveled with the Axis youth group from RHEMA USA along with RHEMA Bible Church youth pastors, Brent Bailey and Keith Nachbor. Pat and I were there to help in any way we could with the team. A team of 58 stormed Campina Grande, Brazil after over 24 hours of travel. We flew into Recife, and then took a 4 hour bus ride to our hotel.
TEACHING - RSWM

I had time enough to unpack and clean up then I went to teach 2 hours in the RHEMA School of World Missions - Brazil.
The youth pastors spoke to a group of seventy youth leaders at the same time.

YOUTH MINISTERING TO YOUTH

The next few days was going out on the streets to witness, going into schools where the youth worship team, the youth “step team” and the drama team ministered to the children.
The dramas had a powerful impact on the people!

The majority of the children responded to the altar call each time! Praise be to God!
At a shopping mall where the team ate lunch almost every day, the step team performed in the food court and generated some interest.
The youth also ministered at a local yearly “St. John’s Festival” that was going on in the city. They performed on stage and then witnessed among the crowd.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
Pat and I had an uninvited guest in our hotel room – a bat hanging from our light above the bed! One of the hotel employees promptly “got rid” of it…
SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE
On Sunday morning the team was split between three churches and then all came together Sunday night for the main service at RHEMA Bible Church. Brent ministered that night.
HEALING MEETING
On Monday night I preached at a weekly healing service held in a house.
Here I was demonstrating to a young man how to pray for the sick.
After calling up a few that needed healing and helping a couple of the young people to pray for the sick, I had all of the youth come and pray for the sick. We had growths disappear, limbs that were loosed and able to move, backs healed and more!
The next night I taught three more hours in the RHEMA School of World Missions. The youth ministered at another church meeting.

(Johanna having fun participating at one of the school meetings.)
By the week’s end almost six hundred people that we were able to count had been born again. We saw the youth group impacted by the hand of God, the people of Brazil touched and the RHEMA ministry encouraged and positively impacted! That is what I call a successful mission trip!
Thank you for your prayers and support!
Next stop: Kenya, Africa in August! Back to Asia in November!
